Mobility grants for students
An international experience is an astounding opportunity for your future career as an engineer or researcher. The Graduate School is widely open to the international scientific community with its numerous collaborations in Europe and around the world. Take advantage of this dynamic to find your internship!
OUTGOING MOBILITY GRANT
You are a Manutech-SLEIGHT student enrolled in one of our 9 master tracks and you have found an internship abroad. The Graduate school offers mobility grants for M1 and M2 students who wish to broaden their horizons.

MODALITIES
Opened to M1 and M2 students for their internship (EMJMD students cannot apply for this grant, incompatible with their Erasmus one).
Location: internship related to one of Manutech SLEIGHT’s domains or more, carried out in a research laboratory of a foreign university or with a private partner abroad Duration: 3 to 6 months

AMOUNT
The laureate, selected by the Graduate School, will receive a mobility grant corresponding to a contribution to their travel expenses (round trip between Saint-Etienne – France and the internship’s location). This grant will correspond to a maximum amount of 1 500€.

HOW TO APPLY
This mobility grants can be combined with other mobility grants offered by Jean Monnet University (UJM):

The laureate, selected by the Graduate School, will receive a mobility grant corresponding to a contribution to their travel expenses (round trip between Saint-Etienne – France and the internship’s location). This grant will correspond to a maximum amount of 1 500€.
HOW TO APPLY
- Discuss with your master coordinator and your other professors in order to find an internship abroad
- Your master coordinator validates your internship choice in one of the Manutech-SLEIGHT's research domains or more
- Your master coordinator submits your application to the Graduate School
- The Graduate School notifies you if your application is selected
This mobility grants can be combined with other mobility grants offered by Jean Monnet University (UJM):
- the BRMI grant (Regional International Mobility Grant)
- the ERASMUS grant (reserved to a mobility in a European country)
INCOMING MOBILITY GRANT
You are a foreign student enrolled in a master track of an international university and you would like make an internship related to our research domains, in one of the four Manutech-SLEIGHT laboratories located in Saint-Etienne (Hubert Curien Laboratory, Georges Friedel Laboratory, SAINBIOSE Laboratory or BIIO Laboratory). The Graduate school offers incoming mobility grants for M1 and M2 students.

MODALITIES
Opened to M1 and M2 students for their internship (EMJMD students cannot apply for this grant, incompatible with their Erasmus one)
Location: internship carried out in a Manutech-SLEIGHT research laboratory
Duration: 3 to 6 months

HOW TO APPLY
- Look for internship offers in one of the four Manutech-SLEIGHT laboratories located in Saint-Etienne (Hubert Curien Laboratory, Georges Friedel Laboratory, SAINBIOSE Laboratory or BIIO Laboratory)
- Apply for the internship directly to the concerned laboratory
- The researcher, supervisor of the internship, submits your application to the Graduate School for an incoming mobility grant.
- You will then be notified by the Graduate School if your application is selected
The Saint-Etienne-Metropole local government finances the Manutech-SLEIGHT Graduate School’s mobility grants.
