DENT'IN: Vincent Duveiller (LabHC) defended his thesis on October 26th

Vincent defended his thesis on October 26th. The jury awarded him the title of doctor for his work on the DENT'IN project (Predicting the Reflectance and Transmittance of Translucent Dental Resins).

He was congratulated by the jury and his peers for his methodological work on the prediction of dental material appearance.

Former engineering student at the Saint-Etienne branch of Institut d'Optique Graduate School (IOGS) and master student in the Advanced Imaging and Material Appearance (AIMA) track, he was awarded the Best student paper at the CIC conference in 2020:

  Vincent Duveiller awarded the Best student paper Award at the Color Imaging Conference 2020

  Vincent Duveiller aims to develop more efficient optical models. In the study presented at CIC28, he showed the limitations of the gold standard approach in the community and proposed a correction that already provides a considerable improvement in the predictive performance for the color of dental composites.

He will be continuing his research in industry, in the R&D department of a German company producing dental material.
