SSE#8 - 5 students awarded during the 8th SLEIGHT Science Event
On The July 8, 2022
During the 8th SLEIGHT Science Event, 5 students won a prize for their presentation:
- Sylvain Fournier (MatéIS) and Anthony Nakhoul (LabHC), both PhD students, won in joint place the Best PhD presentation award. They work respectively on the FAST-MED project and the MORPHOSURF project.
- Sylvain did a presentation on "Additive manufacturing of zirconia-based ceramics by laser stereolithography for jawbone implants applications"
- Anthony talked about his theis work on "Surface Morphology at the nanometric scale by temporal and polarization control of ultrashort laser pulses"
- Olfa Ben Moussa (BiiO) and Steve Papa (SAINBIOSE - LASIMP project) won in joint place the Best Poster award
- Thibaud Leteno, M2 student in the Machine Learning and Data Mining (MLDM) specialisation of the MSc in Computer Science, won the Best Pitch award for his work on the question "Does fine-tuning make compressed language models racist and sexist?"

7 master students awarded for their performance at the Pitch Session: AIMA-IOGS, Photonics Engineering and MLDM in the place of honour.

Lucas Rousseau, PhD student at the Georges Friedel lab, and Sachin Joshi, PhD student at the Hubert Curien lab, were presented the Best Poster award for their presentations during the Poster session.
