BOULEFRAKH KHALEF'S MOTIVATION FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

I am excited to join the PhD project at the intersection of Mechanical Tribology and Artificial Intelligence with LaMCoS and LGF. My academic foundation in Materials Engineering and research experience in surface characterization equip me with a solid understanding of tribological phenomena and computational modeling. During my master’s studies, I focused on biocomposites, gaining practical skills in analyzing material behavior and surface morphology, which align well with the experimental tribological campaigns planned in this project. Additionally, my background in machine learning and computer vision allows me to contribute effectively to developing predictive models for friction based on surface morphologies. I am particularly motivated by the project’s innovative approach of combining empirical deep learning with physical models to improve friction prediction accuracy. I look forward to collaborating with your team, contributing to impactful research, and disseminating our findings through high-quality publications.
