LASIMP: Steve PAPA (SAINBIOSE) defended his thesis on December 21st
On The December 21, 2023
Steve Papa, former PhD student at the SAINBIOSE laboratory, sucessfully defended his thesis!
Steve defended his thesis on December 21st. The jury awarded him the title of doctor for his work on the LASIMP project (Femtosecond LASer for dental IMPlants multifunctional texturing). His thesis was funded by the Graduate School, as part of the 3rd Call for projects.
He was congratulated by the jury and his peers for his work on the study of the behaviour of bacteria on nanostructured surfaces and how surface modifications can modify the adherence of these bacteria.
The thesis jury was composed of:
He published 4 scientific articles between 2022 and 2023:
His work shows how disciplines - Bioengineering, Physics, Surface Engineering - can collaborate and create interdisciplinary research projects. Learn more about the project
He will be continuing his research in the private sector.
Congratulations to him! We wish him the best for his promising career ! :)
