Manutech-SLEIGHT Mobility Postcards
On February 2, 2026
Various students from ou master's degrees received mobility grants to carry their internship in labs abroad.
Our students are sending us postcards from their international mobility experiences !
Through the Manutech-SLEIGHT mobility program, Master’s students have the opportunity to carry out internships and research projects abroad, discovering new scientific environments, cultures and collaborations around the world.
These experiences are featured through the Manutech Mobility Postcards: a visual series highlighting student journeys abroad.
Etebong Ibekwe, a second-year Master’s student in the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Intelligent Photonics for Security, Reliability, Sustainability & Safety within the Manutech-SLEIGHT Graduate School, completed an international research internship at the University of Eastern Finland within the Department of Physics and Mathematics. His research focused on advanced material synthesis and characterization, with a particular emphasis on the development and study of SbSI nanowires for environmental remediation applications.
Patrick Barry, a second-year Master’s student in the international Master track Machine Learning and Data Mining in Computer Science at Université Jean Monnet Saint-Étienne within the Manutech-SLEIGHT Graduate School, is currently completing his Master’s thesis at ETH Zürich. His work focuses on optimising traffic flow and mitigating congestion through reinforcement learning approaches.
