- ABOUT US
- NEWSLETTER
Students coming from the first year of the MSc in Health Engineering choosing the Biomedical Engineering track gain a general education in Biomedical Engineering and Medical Imaging, enabling them to work in various fields of activity within laboratories and Bio-Medtech companies.
The teaching modules highlight the design and manufacturing process of cell and tissue, focusing on 3D culture in bioreactors, stem cell biology and biomechanics. More specific courses are dedicated to personalised medicine and the elaboration of physiological 3D models of organ with cell raised from patients. Applications for these models are basic biology, pharmacology/drug testing and grafting. In line with the Manutech-SLEIGHT Graduate School expertise, we specifically consider the importance of Optics and Photonics in biomedical imaging and biomaterials manufacturing (implants and sensors).
