The SLEIGHT Science Events (SSE) are the key events of the Graduate School. Held twice a year at the Manufacture Campus in Saint-Etienne, they bring together the entire research and teaching community of the Manutech-SLEIGHT Graduate School and its partners. Masters students, scientists from the laboratories, including PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, researchers, research engineers and private partners gather around a varied programme: conferences given by internationally recognized guest speakers, workshops dedicated to the three scientific axes of the Graduate School and sessions dedicated to students (Pitch by Masters students, presentations by PhD students, etc.). Between 150 and 250 attendees gather during the scientific weeks.
Some SSEs are co-organised with the socio-economic actors of the Saint-Etienne and Lyon area and/or other scientific programmes, allowing to open up to the scientific communities.
These events, as part of the master students’ training schedule, are the cement of the Graduate School. They promote strong training-research interactions and the crossing of disciplines at the state of the art of research activities.
