Samaneh obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biomechanics at the Amirkabi University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. Then she did her first master thesis at the National Research Institute of Tuberculosis & Lung Diseases, Masih Daneshvari Hospital, in Tehran. After several years of working for medical equipment companies, as a clinical application specialist, she obtained a second master’s degree in Biomechanical engineering from the Institut Polytechnique de Paris. For her second master thesis, she joined a research team at the Institut de Biomécanique Humaine Georges Charpak in Paris. She is now a PhD student at the CREATIS Laboratory, working on the ManoUS project, in partnership with the LABTAU Lab

Using the imaging data to extract the mechanical biomarkers in order to characterize the degree of stenosis where there exists a lack of non-invasive methods, is a challenge impacting a high number of patients worldwide. I am proud that I am contributing to such a great project addressing this important problem.
Considering my trainings and work experience in the biomedical engineering domain, I wish to pursue my future carrier in a research laboratory or R&D department in the same domain. This PhD project is in line with this objective, which I believe maintains a coherent resume and enhances my chance to achieve my professional goals.
Having the opportunity to be part of this high-level team is indeed a great chance to deepen my knowledge and maximize my skills in this area.
