Raphaël Clerc obtained his doctorate in electrical engineering from the Grenoble Institute of Technology (INPG) in 2001. He then joined the University of Udine (Italy) as a post-doctoral fellow. He became an associate professor at Grenoble Institute of Technology in 2002 and taught there until 2012. He is now a Professor at Hubert Curien Laboratory, Institut d’Optique Graduate School and Jean Monnet University, Saint-Etienne.
His field of experience covers the area of modelling, simulation and characterisation of advanced silicon devices and organic devices. His current research interests include the modelling of optical propagation in complex medium (paper, skin…) as well as optoelectronics devices (organic photodiodes, solar cells, silicon photonics, silicon SPAD).
Raphaël Clerc is the author or co-author of 56 articles in international journals, 73 conferences (including 11 invited papers), 3 books chapters (h index 17).
