Hai HOANG THI THANH

A LOOK AT HAI'S BACKGROUND

Hai HOANG graduated in Mechanical Engineering – Advanced Material of the PFIEV program, Vietnam, in 2022. Her background relates to sol-gel and semiconductor materials. She is now a PhD student at the Hubert Curien Laboratory, Saint-Etienne France, fabricating optical materials and characterizing properties of materials under different conditions (temperature, magnetic field…).

HAI'S MOTIVATION FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

My work in the MOTOM project involves the fabrication of optical materials via sol-gel processes and doping NPs. Then, I investigate magnetic fields to monitor the ability of micro-structured photonic surfaces to transmit or reflect light. I will also explore the direct magnetic steering of NPs transition, as well as the measurement of the NPs proper temperature through magneto-optical analysis. In addition, this work will include the modeling of structure of materials by using COMSOL to predict the properties of materials.
