François ROYER

François Royer obtained his PhD in optics from INP Grenoble in 2004. In 2006, he became senior lecturer at Telecom Saint-Etienne and joined the LT2C lab (EA 3523, UJM). He has been the co-leader of the 3rd axis “Multi-functional surfaces” of the Labex Manutech-SISE since 2019 and the director of the doctoral school – Sciences, Engineering, Health (ED SIS 488) since 2022. He is now a Professor at Jean Monnet University and researcher at the Hubert Curien lab.

  • Since 2016: Elected member of the board of directors of Telecom Saint-Etienne



TEACHING

François Royer teaches Embedded Systems, Wave Optics, Guided Optics and Photonics at Jean Monnet University to 3rd year (undergraduate programme) and 4th year students (graduate programme).
